Theme: The Crane’s Stillness – Practicing Poise in Body and Heart
In Sanskrit, sadhana means to practice – to engage a discipline of practice is the path to realizing samadhi (or stillness).
Our intention is to share with you some of our favorite seasonal practices
that will help you attune to the energy of Summer – with its fiery potential for creative and transformational joy.
Terry shares a thematic Qi Gong to Yin Yoga practice that will support the Chinese Heart’s holistic functions of circulating and housing our spirit (shen). Drawing on the archetypal symbolism of the crane, she weaves the intentions of patience and calm throughout the embodied practices.
Josh shares reflections on how the Qi Gong and Yin Yoga support the effortless experience of samadhi (stillness), and how the experience of samadhi becomes the experiential basis for deep wisdom and creative renewal. He offers a guided meditation (with journal prompt) and facilitates a discussion on practice.
