In this special two-hour workshop, Josh will share an in-depth introduction to some of the core principles of Qi Cultivation, or energy harmonization. Josh will share the theory and (suggestive) science around energy medicine and how recent insights into the science of fascia and the biochemistry of breathing help us understand how to strengthen and harness our life force.
The workshop is suitable for all levels and will include breathwork (pranayama), as well as a Yin Yoga practice sequence.
What is Yin Yoga?
In Yin Yoga, floor postures are held passively for several minutes in order to access a safe and positive ‘stress’ on the deeper layers of connective tissue in the body.
Physically, Yin Yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints, as well as decreases inflammation and improves hydration of the connective tissue. Energetically, Yin Yoga stimulates the body’s channel system of subtle energy, enhancing energetic flow and supporting emotional equilibrium. Yin Yoga also prepares both the body and mind for meditation.Josh Summers has been practicing and teaching Yin Yoga for nearly two decades. As a licensed acupuncturist and long-time meditator, Josh infuses his teaching with insight and wisdom from Chinese Medicine, Taoism and Buddhism.
All participants will receive lifetime access to this recorded workshop. We will send you a follow up email after the workshop has taken place that will give you access.
