Third Principle of Yin Yoga: Staying Relatively Still for Relatively Longer Periods of Time

In this lesson, I’ll look at the third of the four main principles of practicing Yin Yoga: Staying Still For Time. I’ll consider how long should you stay in your pose, why you stay for longer periods of time in Yin Yoga postures, and how you might think about making progress in Yin Yoga. How long one should stay in a posture depends on a few factors: Namely, the tolerance level and strength of the tissue being stressed, and the broader intention behind that stress.
