In this lesson, I take a big picture overview of Traditional Chinese Medicine and describe TCM as one form of a holistic approach medicine. A holistic approach to medicine is one that formulates a diagnosis of a patient’s condition by taking into consideration the complex dynamic of everything going on internally with that patient, as well as external influences of interpersonal relationship, work, and climate.
