Fall 2025
Transform Your Teaching and Practice: Master the Anatomy Behind Yin Yoga!
Over the past 30 years, Yin Yoga has evolved into a deeply cherished practice for countless teachers and students alike. However, the language used to describe Yin Yoga, particularly in older trainings, has not kept pace with the modern understanding of fascia and body anatomy. In fact, much of the terminology you may still use or have learned 5 or even 10 years ago is now outdated.
This course bridges the gap between traditional Yin Yoga teachings and the latest advancements in anatomical science. Designed for both experienced Yin Yoga teachers and newer students, the “Foundations of Anatomy for Yin Yoga” training offers not only a deep dive into Yin Yoga postures and fascia but also a collaborative journey to overhaul the outdated language still prevalent in many Yin Yoga spaces.
The value lies not only in mastering anatomy and fascia but in empowering you to teach with clarity, confidence, and precision using terminology that reflects the most current scientific understanding. By updating your language, you’ll enhance your own practice and your ability to guide others with integrity and accuracy.
The Power of Updated Language
Language shapes how we experience and teach Yin Yoga. Outdated terminology can lead to misconceptions and limit the potential benefits of the practice. Through this course, you’ll gain:
- A deep understanding of fascia and connective tissue based on the latest research, which allows you to deliver more effective classes.
- A comprehensive exploration of Yin Yoga postures with a focus on how fascia is affected by longer-held poses.
- A unique opportunity to update and refine your teaching language in real-time with a community of like-minded practitioners during our live fall cohort sessions. Together, we will reframe and reshape the way Yin Yoga is communicated, ensuring it aligns with modern anatomical science.
- By actively participating in this collaborative process, you’ll help drive the evolution of Yin Yoga and contribute to the integrity of the practice moving forward.
