Intentions of the Heart: Meditation Workshop
April 30, 2017: 10am to 2pm (1hr lunch)
Our intentions—conscious or unconscious, big or small—contribute to our suffering or our happiness. Intentions are the seeds that become our garden. Within a “yin” approach to meditation, we can become more mindful of our intentions. The practice of stillness allows us to listen to and clarify our deeper intentions for practice and our life. Often we may practice yoga and meditation with an overemphasis on technique. But by shifting our approach from a technique-based practice to an intention-guided practice, we can more readily realize the tenderness and compassion of the unguarded Heart.
This meditation workshop will explore a receptive approach to meditation that naturally develops qualities of kindness, generosity and compassion. The workshop is appropriate for beginners or seasoned meditators.
Please bring a notebook and pen for reflecting on your experience in meditation.
