Intentions of the Heart: Yin Yoga and Insight Meditation
Our intentions—conscious or unconscious, big or small—contribute to our suffering or our happiness. Intentions are the seeds that become our garden. Within a “yin” approach to yoga and meditation, we can become more mindful of our intentions. The practice of stillness allows us to listen to and clarify our deeper intentions for practice and our life. Often we may practice yoga and meditation with an overemphasis on technique. But by shifting one’s approach from a technique-based practice to an intention-guided practice, we can more readily realize the tenderness and compassion of the unguarded Heart.
