Embark on a transformative journey at our Yin Yoga school, where the fusion of Yin Yoga, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yin Meditation, and Qi Gong awaits to elevate your practice or teaching.
If you’re looking to integrate Yin Yoga, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yin Meditation or Qi Gong into your practice or teaching, our school’s comprehensive curriculum will support you at every level of your journey.
With over five decades of shared practice, experience and teaching, Terry and I bring our passion for yoga, meditation, Chinese Medicine and holistic health to all of our trainings.
Our program is flexible and user-friendly. You can begin with any training that piques your interest. However, if you’re new to Yin Yoga, we recommend that you start with our Foundations of Anatomy and Yin Yoga module (description below). All of our trainings build on the theory, pedagogy and practices in this keystone module.
Unleash the potential within you with our flexible and user-friendly program.
Our two training tracks – Foundations of Yin Yoga Training and Yin Yoga + Qi Cultivation Training – are mutually supportive trainings that establish the core principles and integrative practices of our methodology.
Some students like to start with Foundations and then move into the refinement of application and synthesis in Qi Cultivation. Others like to begin with the practical tools of Qi Cultivation and go back to the foundational trainings for the theory and philosophy later.
Our school’s format allows you to work at your own pace towards a certification of your choice; or you can choose to take any of our trainings as standalone courses for Continuing Education or personal development.
Choose your path with our Two Tracks of Study and Practice – Foundations + Cultivations.
The Foundations of Yin Yoga Training and Yin Yoga + Qi Cultivation Training complement each other, establishing the fundamental principles and integrative practices of our methodology.

The Keys to Good Training – Knowledge and Practice
A good training offers the right balance between in-depth knowledge and experiential practice. With our on-demand trainings, you will be able to review the lessons, tutorials and practices as many times as you like. This review, in our opinion, is essential to the integration of the curriculum.
But experiential practice is just as important as theoretical knowledge. Students often ask, if I take an online training:
How will I practice with you?
How will I be able to ask questions?
Practice with us in our Weekly Classes in our River Bird Sangha; and we are happy to receive your questions! Please send your questions and/or reflections info@yinyogaschool.com

Yes, all Modules are open to anyone with a strong interest in learning more about the content of that particular Module, and we would encourage your participation. There is no required application to take individual Modules. You only need to apply if you intend to earn a 100hr, 200hr or 300hr level certification through the Summers School of Yin Yoga.

Do I need to have a 200hr certification with another school to take your 300hr program?
